WAR-THEMED CONCERTS
A few years ago, I formed a group with three musician colleagues called “The Trench Raiders”, providing concert-parties based on the stories and songs of the Great War.
With a café styled presentation and audience participation in the songs, these singalong concerts have proved very popular, resulting in many return bookings.
Clients who have engaged the Trench Raiders have often utilised the concerts as charity fundraising events and our concerts have been responsible for raising significant sums of money for numerous charities, especially those related to the armed forces.
It is with pleasure that I can now announce the addition to our repertoire of a concert based upon the stories, facts and songs of the Second World War!
The format of the event consists of a performance split into two halves of approximately 45-50 minutes’ duration each with a recommended break for refreshments and other fundraising activities such as a raffle or an auction. Song sheets are made available and the audience is encouraged to sing along, with flag-waving to express National pride!
